She led the political and legal strategy to reject the proposed Liquefied Natural Gas plant proposed by the NM Gas Company in Rio Rancho. Mariel also led the political and legal strategy to oppose the Avangrid/Iberdrola/PNM $8 billion merger and won.
This is her greatest victory because, she said, "Avandgrid is a ruthless international conglomerate that sought to bulldoze New Mexico and send profits to Spain".
Mariel will discuss some highlights and lows in the most recent
legislature and what's next on the agenda for New Energy Economy's
feisty team she has the honor of working with.
